There are a couple things I want to comment on the book, and not just opinions regarding the plot or speculation type "what if ...?" , the first thing I leave to the spoilers , while the latter will leave the "fanboys / girls" that abound on the Internet. The point of this post is to talk a bit about the reaction the public to this book, divided between contempt and bigotry more exacerbated, with little room for indifference, which is not every day. Let's start with the fans, which are easier to criticize, then move on to the spoilers. Fans
.
One of the things that characterizes the fan, or fanboy / girl (to use the English term) of this century is the ability to wait in line for days waiting for the occasion of his fanaticism, as guys who were left waiting for days waiting for the premiere of new episodes of "Star Wars" films or "The Lord of the Rings "(boys, could get tickets on the Internet), or those who killed to go to electronic stores to buy a console, the X-Box 360, Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii (boys, could reservation one month in advance, online shopping or waiting to arrive most stores). Fans of Harry Potter could not be less, so that various bookstores throughout the world organized special events such a great date: starts at midnight, people who were disguised to read the book, children and adults sharing a book to read. And this, in my opinion, gave a special touch: all this chaos was due a book. But still, do not understand why there were people who could not wait until it opened bookstores in your regular schedule. This type of obsessive-compulsive behavior, frankly, I can understand.
But my lack of understanding as to why this behavior is not to say that it adheres to the end, it is ordinary people as one who is having fun in an unconventional manner. In short, they are trypan its sheath without disturbing anyone. Unfortunately some people do not see it that way and prefer to make life miserable for these fanatics, these are called spoilers, spoilers that are a kind of satisfaction in ruin morbid note these fanatics simply because they do not understand the book you see the cuff.
Killjoy.
These people are the guys who set out to publish a so-subtle plot of the book, and to reveal its final and things that happened within it, with intent to annoy people. Are those who call the book "commercial waste", and suggest that their success is due solely to the quality of the marketing department of your publisher. Whoever thinks so, sins of ignorance: the first volumes of the series came without much advertising, published by Bloomsbury, a small British publishing house that dark not available at that time, the means to promote marketing of large magnitudes. The big marketing agent Harry Potter books was the word of mouth, little Timmy was the book and asked his parents who bought it, then told her friends, Amy and Johnny, how good it was, and they asked their parents to buy it. And so, word of mouth, the book became a success, being translated around the world. For when Harry Potter becomes the commercial phenomenon that is now, with movies and other, already published the first four books in the series. However, critics highlight their weaknesses bitter argument, say his universe is somewhat dystopian and dark, and contains a veiled way certain prejudices, does not mean that the book does not have merit or that reading is discouraged, it just means it's not perfect.
But let us return to the spoiler, for me they are even more puzzling that the fans, what pleasure can there be in ruin someone reading?. I do not understand those who have a morbid pleasure in telling people how to finish the book, or tell them they are victims marketing reading and these books will not endure the test of time, etc., Etc., Etc. They seem not to support someone enjoy reading these books. I think they are the same as living just to talk bad about Dan Brown books.
Indeed, among those who seem to hate this series of books is a quite rare species and I remember reading in a news blog, which one commentator to the news of the launching of the book said something like, "as may worry about such things when there are children dying in the streets. " I guess the person who wrote this is someone who does not eat, drink, or leave because there are hungry children in the streets and everywhere there is poverty in Venezuela. In fact, spits up to make a gender comment: someone so concerned about the welfare of humanity should not worry whether you have time to halarle ears who is awaiting such frivolities. At the end of the day, what else could have known if not constantly engaged in care for the poor starving children?.
The Book.
After criticizing both ends of those who buy and read these books, I can only add a few criticisms of this book:
- In this book, Ron is particularly unbearable.
- Hermione is not only the nerd / geek resident, by the way has a maturity and resilience beyond her years. Neville
- eats in this book.
- The deaths of the characters are too dramatic.
- Voldemort is pure ego as a villain.
- The romantic tension of the book is badly carried at times by Rowling.
- Dumbledore's obituary is too watery, and Skeeter's interview too sensationalist.
