Play Pokemon Silver On My Phone

clarify that I am not a fan of this actor unpronounceable name, the entrance leads only because it participates in two productions which I will comment. Ioan Gruffudd
, is best known for two things, for his role in The Fantastic 4 for being partner in the excellent Matthew Macfadyen Warriors (hahaha).

In Amazing Grace (2006), plays William Wilberforce , one of the top fighters for the abolition of slavery in England in the late eighteenth century.
As this struggle was against the interests of powerful enemies gained important and ridicule of many. The fifteen years that hard-won said the abolition raged on their health.
To show how difficult it was Logar victory, the film combines the story of two times, the young, full of optimism and idealization and premature old age, with its doubts and dissent.
Many of the flashbacks are in the company of his romantic interest, a girl who admires him and he tells the details of their struggle, played by Romola Garai (another girl girdled).
historical film is a typical English perfectly set, correctly acted in major roles with excellent actors in supporting roles (Michael Gambon, Albert Finney, Rufus Sewell, Ciaran Hinds, Toby Jones). Michael Gambon as Charles
Fox, a member of parliament for disagreeing with the protagonist will end by allying with him, steals several scenes. The same goes for Albert Finney, who plays John Newton , a former slave trader who repented of his life and becomes a Protestant pastor who also was the author of the famous hymn that gives the film its title.
Impeccable in its accomplishment, but terribly slow and heavy most of the film.

After reading Great Expectations (Great Expectations, Charles Dickens), I decided to see the adjustment made by the BBC in 1999.

Miniseries into two parts which tells the story of Pip (Ioan Gruffudd) from childhood to adulthood, his relationship with Miss Havisham (Charlotte Rampling ), his dream of becoming a knight, his failure and his unfathomable love for Estella.
The first part of the series, greatly respects the development of the book. It is an almost literal adaptation. The second part, covering over youth and adulthood, I was a little disappointed by the liberties taken with the book. Changed some important things, omitted other and made to Estella Havisham ( Justine Waddell), too "good" for my taste.
Perhaps my objections are guilty of having too cool the novel my head.
BAFTA award winner, is well done and well acted.

I say goodbye until the next entry, leaving them with one of the many versions of the hymn is Amazing Grace. One of the songs "spiritual" more beautiful.

Seems Of My Leather Couch Ripped

a couple of years ago I saw the movie Silk (Silk), about a young French soldier (Michael Pitt), in the nineteenth century, who travels to Japan to buy silkworms and how those trips will change your life and relationship with his wife (Keira Knightley).
The movie has a beautiful photograph and a story that could give more. Or so it seemed to me. Since then, he wanted to read the book by Alessandro Baricco .
is a short novel or long story short, the chapters are no more than three pages, with a precise language, simple, sometimes poetic, which is read in a day but that is recorded forever.

Hervé Joncour, the young protagonist, is a simple character, without much dialogue, which becomes infatuated with a Japanese woman who has no oriental features, like a little girl and stare (some pederast?). I do not know if unromantic, but it is hard to imagine it was a "real love." To me, it's a fantasy that will be powered by a small piece of paper with symbols unknown to him.
Without knowing it, or not caring, this fad will have consequences to those around him.
Hélène, that the film is much more important role in the book is sporadic appearances, as the wife who claims to love but eventually it will end up showing who you loved more.

When I saw the movie, Michael Pitt I was dull, after reading the book, I think I played well.
"It was, moreover, one of those men likes attend to his own life, considering any ambition improper live. "

Baldabiou, the spinner, is the most interesting character in the book.
" A Baldabiou each had revealed no problems the secrets of the trade. That amused him much more than making lots of money. Teach. And have no secrets to tell. He was a man ".
A highly recommended book to read in a blink, which slips through your fingers like silk and is subtle in our memory.

" It's a strange pain. Die of nostalgia for something that will not live again ", Hervé confides to his friend. And, though I think a blind character, is a sentiment that I often encounter.

Kates Playground Interviewing Carm

Enredados

He
Disney! This time, chosen based on the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm, Rapunzel.
With the English title of "Entangled" (Tangled), tells the story of a princess whose hair has healing power and lives locked in a tower with an old woman who passed by her mother after having robbed their real parents, how could it be otherwise, are the king and queen.

Rapunzel has no contact with the outside world only knows what his Machiavellian mother conveys. The manipulative wife is captive to rejuvenate each day with the powers of the long hair. Gothel
witch is not a classic, but deserves the title of honorary witch .

Like every princess needs a prince, appears Flynn Rider, a thief will help Rapunzel nice to know that the lights are intrigued.
I always call attention to the expressiveness of the eyes of Disney creations, Rapunzel transmits to them all the innocence and surprised at the findings of the real world.
The princess will learn to trust herself and the thief to show his true self, Eugene Fritzherbert, a boy less exciting than Errol Flynn (although 98% of the film does not know who was this man), who sells to others.

pets steal the movie again, as Maximus, the military horse such as Pascal, the little fellow chameleon Rapunzel, are great. Disney mix
3D technology with the tradition of memorable drawings, combined with the beautiful music of Alan Menken (Enchanted, Hercules, Pocahontas, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc), make us young and old alike enjoy .
I leave you with a brief moment in the film, one of the most beautiful, to see if they feel like and go see it.

Yellow Mucus Before Af

Silk Waves

"Since published in 1931, waves has been considered one of the major works of twentieth century fiction, both original and hypnotic beauty of his prose and by the perfection of his revolutionary technique and, over the years, its influence on contemporary literature has been widening.
The novel develops, the rhythm of the waves breaking on the beach, six interior monologues, like a tapestry at every moment and unraveled fabric, made the kaleidoscopic account of the lives of six characters from childhood to old age.
masterpiece of narrative of Virginia Woolf, waves is already a timeless classic to be read with us over the years as the memory of a distant and unique summer happy.
"Lumen, 2010.

No Virginia Woolf's book is easy reading . She was devoted to experiment with his writing and broke with the classical structure of the novel.
In waves, use interior monologue, with the addition of six characters from different stages of his life.
Each chapter is preceded by a description of the beach, seen at different times of day. Dawn, noon, afternoon and evening. Every moment is equivalent to stages of the lives of his characters.
Through its inner dialogues look at the relation that unites them, the feelings, perceptions of one another. In some passages, these thoughts are intertwined in "mental dialogue" because in reality there is no dialogue in the book, only ideas narrated in a highly poetic.

"On the Soul is a soft and shiny pearly shell, against which the feelings pecking in vain" ; think Bernard, when the sun has sunk at sea and reflecting in the twilight of his life.

As in other books on Woolf, the obsession with death and suicide is present.
Louis, Neville, Jinny, Susan, Rhoda and Bernard, will be marked with the early death of Percival and Rhoda, suicide found in the exhaust he craved.
"Nothing touched. I see nothing. We sink into a decline and posarnos on the waves. The sea darkened the white petals. Floated for a moment and sink. I balance on the wave and push me to the bottom." Rhoda's thinking seems to merge with the writer to end their life on the river Ouse.

And, to the pain of loss, Bernard, reflects beautifully "Some go to the priests, I come to my friends and my own heart and seek among phrases and fragments something that is not already broken ..."

A book that can not be categorized by genre, beautifully written and with great poetry.

I say goodbye, announcing that I join the challenge of the 50 books. We'll see if I get to the goal.

Rikers Island Visiting Days

Black Swan Great Expectations

Swan Lake Pyotr Tchaicovski of must be one of the most famous classical dance world.
tells the story of a princess who is turned into a swan by a sorcerer and becomes only woman in the evenings. A prince, who was out hunting, he falls for her, but the wizard uses a trick (an evil twin) to prevent it.
Black Swan (Black Swan, 2010), is a daring film and a little macabre. Whoever thinks
enjoy a film where the grace and beauty of ballet is the essence of it, be disappointed.
Ballet serves as a base only to tell the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a dancer for a company that looks over the years without getting hit his jump to fame.
Nina's life, a young man dedicated to his profession, is sacrificed, lives, breathes, eats and dreams ballet. A girl-woman, living with a controlling mother, who projecting his shattered dreams.
The forced resignation of the star (Winona Ryder), will give you the opportunity to audition for dancer to Thomas (Vincent Cassel), the director of the company.
Nina's innocence makes it perfect for the role of the White Swan, but the director has his doubts about whether it is able to interpret the obscure Black Swan. Competition for the role is hard and his opponent Lily (Mila Kunis), the new and exotic dancer with which maintained a love / hate.
pressure from his mother, the director of competition and of itself, make a dent in the delicate point Nina can not distinguish reality from fantasy. And the audience, as she went into a quagmire, we get confused and surprised us. We see Nina
virginal, ethereal shed the White Swan and become the sensual and dark Black Swan. Shedding years of restrictions, bondage, suffering, shedding of the discipline, taking a path that will lead to self-destruction but also to perfection.
Natalie Portman is amazing. With her delicate body and classic beauty, her character transforms and makes an excellent interpretation. Although not all the scenes filmed ballet, sought to indicate the maximum and it should wipe out All prizes of the season.
The secondaries are also very good and make it a great movie. The music, the costumes, the choreography is perfect. The scene in which Nina plays the Black Swan, full of symbolism and expressiveness a large one is a beauty.
With strong and erotic scenes, is a psychological thriller where nothing is as it seems and that demystifies the image "pink" ballet.
And the dichotomy of White Swan / Black Swan, has as many fans as detractors. I caught it, but like other films of director Darren Aronofsky is not for everyone.

If there are people, like me, who can wait until February, just go to the link.

Does Measles Look Like

"Great Expectations is one of the most famous titles of the great English author. First published in 1860, tells the story of Pip, a young orphan and fearful, whose humble destiny is graced by an unexpected benefactor that will change the fate of his life and make him a knight. A wonderful novel of learning and a gallery of actors masterfully paint a portrait finishing time, while a deep reflection on the constants of the human condition . The reality of daily life in England and fantasy come together, showing a remarkably human and retail world and a peculiar psychology of the characters ... ·

long time ago telling me I had to read the Charles Dickens classic , Great Expectations (Great Expectations). The idea was a little "depressed" made me delay it long enough. To be of Dickens, I was not as sad as I was told my prejudices.

The novel tells the story of little Phillip Pirrip, better known as Pip, from childhood to maturity. As in other books of Dickens, mixing elements of autobiography with fiction.
The orphan Pip is raised by his sister and her husband. The sister, boasts of raising him by hand and is an extremely cruel, an abuser, hitting the child and her husband, Joe.
Joe, is a humble blacksmith, a person full of good feelings, the voice of Pip's conscience, his adviser and friend.
Two events marked the life of Pip at a young age.
The first, a chance encounter with a convict who just escaped from the prison ship and will be connected to their future in unexpected ways.
The second, being forced to visit the eccentric and ghostly Miss Havisham. The rich old lady, lives obsessed by the love of his youth who left before the altar and wish that all men suffer. The young Pip will have his first meeting with Estella, who became his great love, a girl a bit older than him, adopted by Miss Havisham, and who indoctrinated to be his revenge on the world. Pip
grow and will become a reality his "great hopes" which does not imply that no mistakes and make bad decisions.

My favorite character, however, was Pip and Estella (could not stand his attitude too), but the faithful Joe.
"If the right path can not become an extraordinary person, never get going by the crooked."
An excellent advice for the child who has twisted your way with lies.

wonderful way Dickens describes the London of the time, its streets, its neighborhoods, its colors. One seems to move with Pip those places. As in his other books, achieves invisible links between the characters to bring closure round.

As I saw none of the many adaptations that exist, one of my goals for this 2011 will see some of them. I favor the 1999 version of the BBC, but I accept suggestions.
