New Year. Elections

Today is December 31 and is running a new 2007 and 2008. It is, as is customary to say, a time of reflection, a time in which to evaluate what has been done over the past year and projecting what will be done in the new year.

I can not say as the song that the old year has left me many good things, as "a goat, a black donkey, a white mare and a good mother." By contrast, this year has been particularly difficult for me: problems with my thesis, my health and the Italian bureaucracy, as well as certain economic problems (the scholarships are not very good in Italy) and a high degree of uncertainty. We also got a new office mate directly from Maracaibo, which I like particularly bad 1 . Fortunately, it is mutual, and we are also civil enough not to bother each other, one more point to civility and good manners!.

Of course, there are positive things my wife and I get better and better, our families are doing well in allowing the crisis. Personally, I concluded that I am an atheist, not agnostic, nor a Christian. However, this year we were not treated badly.

For next year we have many uncertainties: the end of the thesis and dissertations, job search, stay abroad or return home. My biggest concern is my thesis: finish everything I need, will it be a decent job?, Can I post something about it?. Doubts and uncertainty, and 2008 to see my wife and me. I hope these questions will clarify as soon as possible (I argue in March).

Wishing everyone equally a happy 2008 and a future full of joy and prosperity, I say goodbye for this year. And next year will bring new things to discuss. From Milan, I say goodbye.
